Modified Bitumen Membranes

The modified bitumen roofing system is a hybrid built-up roof. It has the benefits of the built in redundancy of the BUR, along with the added strength, flexibility and UV resistance of a modified membrane. Modified Bitumen or "modbit" membranes consist of an asphalt and polymer blend which allow the asphalt to take on characteristics of the polymer. There are several surfacing option for this system which include a factory applied mineral surface, a gravel surface laid in bitumen or a liquid applied coating that is typically reflective in nature.

Single Ply EPDM

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is an elastomeric membrane that is lightweight, flexible and economical. EPDM is a rubber membrane that comes in large rolls and can be ballasted, fully adhered or mechanically fastened to a roof, and sealed at all seams.

 

Built-up Roofing Systems

Conventional bituminous built-up roofing has been used for over 100 years and continues to represent a large portion of today’s roofing. The system is field fabricated and consists of layers of waterproofing bitumen alternating with plies of reinforcing felts with an appropriate protective surface. The reflectivity of BUR depends on the color of the surface layer. Four BUR surfacing options are aggregate, smooth, mineral cap, and protective coating.

Metal Roofing

We manufacture and install all types of Metal Roof Systems. Many of our clients have Standing Seam Metal Roofs and Flat Seam Sheet Metal Roofs. We install additional metal applications such as gutters, downspouts, drip edges, metal rake and metal ridge caps. Consider us for architectural metalwork also. Sheet metal roofs are custom fabricated or field formed roofing composed of single layer of metal sheets installed over structural substrate. There are numerous color options and custom colors can be provided as well.
